Life At Brenda's
Structure isn't a punishment. It's the whole point.
Time collapses in active addiction—becomes shapeless.
And without shape, it's hard to build anything.
At Brenda’s, every day has a purpose.

One of the most damaging things about active addiction is the collapse of routine - time becomes shapeless, and without shape, it's hard to build anything. At Brenda's, everyday has a purpose.

Case Management & Wraparound Support
Recovery is rarely just about stopping addiction, it's about rebuilding everything the addiction dismantled.
Weekly case management covers what most programs don't. Many clients coming in haven't seen a doctor or dentist in years. They don't have ID, a driver's license, or a birth certificate. They have court dates, probation check-ins, and Medicaid applications ahead of them.
We help with all of it:
- Medical and dental access
- Identity documents (birth certificates, IDs, driver's licenses)
- Court hearing and probation support
- Medicaid and benefits enrollment
- Family reunification support
Nobody should have to figure this out alone. We make sure they don't.
Community & Brotherhood
The folks at Brenda's go through recovery together. That's not incidental, it's by design.
Peer accountability is real here. The people around you know your schedule, your progress, and your struggles. And they're not strangers. They're brothers. People who have been where you are and believe you can get where they're going.
Bible study, recovery events, and shared meals are part of the rhythm. The culture is simple: you can be yourself here. You don't have to perform, you just have to show up and keep moving.
Former residents come back. Not because they have to, but because this community is worth returning to.

Physical Health — Ironwood Gym
Every weekday, residents go to Ironwood Gym, Cottonwood Pathways' recovery-focused fitness facility.
The trainers are Certified Peer Support Workers who understand recovery because they've lived it. This experience is about rebuilding a relationship with your own body. Physical structure supports mental clarity. Exercise creates routine, builds self-worth, and provides a healthy outlet for everything recovery stirs up.
Healing the body is essential to healing the whole person.

FAQ
Can I have my phone?
During the first 30 days of Phase 1, phones are set aside. This protects the critical window when habits form. After 30 days, phone access is returned.
Can I leave the property?
Yes, for scheduled activities: IOP, gym, meetings, and approved outings. The first 30 days are primarily on-property to establish routine.
Are there religious requirements?
No. Bible study and Sunday church are available and community-driven, but not required.
What happens if I relapse?
This is handled case by case, with honesty and accountability at the center. We're not here to discard people but the community and the program require commitment.
